Offshore passages
Join the crew for a passage between two ports
Mangareva
Mangareva is a 14.5-metre offshore yacht built for long passages. Four double cabins, a bright saloon, a fully equipped galley — all the comfort to live 10 days at sea without giving anything up.
Equipped with full navigation electronics — autopilot, AIS, chartplotter, VHF — it is both a teaching platform and an adventure vessel. The deck offers learning-friendly manoeuvre stations with easily accessible winches.
What awaits you on board
Ten structured days to progress, discover and live the Atlantic — from your first manoeuvre to sailing autonomously.
Boarding & briefing
Coming aboard, role assignments, weather and route plan. First crew dinner in the saloon.
Learning underway
Fundamental manoeuvres — sheets, tacking, gybing. Coastal sailing and first inter-island passage.
Sailing & stopovers
Night watches, cetaceans, wild anchorages, Horta or La Gomera. The sea gains amplitude.
Autonomy & return
The crew takes full charge of navigation. Debrief, logbooks, farewell.
"I couldn't tie a sailing knot when I boarded. Ten days later, I'd held the helm overnight under the stars and anchored in Horta. An experience that changes the way you see the ocean."
"The whale watching off Pico will be one of the strongest moments of my life. Arriving in Horta after a night at sea — indescribable. I'll be back without hesitation."
"We wanted a real adventure, not a tourist circuit. Nerida delivered exactly that — hidden anchorages, a passionate skipper, and genuine sailing progress."
